Our ski hotel offers you the ideal location for your skiing holiday, because we are right in the middle of the South Tyrolean ski carousel: in the south you are close to the Plose, Obereggen and the Seiser Alm, to the north lie the ski resort Ratschings, Rosskopf and Ladurns, in the east the Kronplatz, Alta Badia, the Sextner Dolomites and the Gitschberg and somewhat further in the west Meran 2000 and the Ortler Skiarena.

Welcome to the Plose, the sunniest ski resort in South Tyrol!
The local mountain of Brixen attracts with 40 km of perfectly groomed slopes in the winter: The Plose ski area is located at an altitude of 2,000 m and offers a wonderful view over the valleys of South Tyrol. 7 modern lifts bring you to the varied slopes in 3 different degrees of difficulty.
A real highlight is the Trametsch route from the Plosehütte, which is the longest downhill ride in South Tyrol with 9 km.
Stage free for freestylers
Good news for all freestylers: The 1 km long snow park on the Plose leaves nothing to be desired and is the perfect location for wild jumps, rails and funboxes. There are also cool sound and regular scene events.
Info and contact: The ski resort Plose is 7 km from Brixen. A ski bus takes you quickly and comfortably to the station. With your BrixenCard you can take a free ride up and down the Plose cable car once a day. This means that nothing stands in the way of your favorable skiing holiday!
A wonderful alternative to skiing is the cross-country skiing, and you can do this in the Eisack valley on a total of 25 well-groomed trails with a total length of 240 km. In the Plose ski area there are 4 slopes, including the round loop on the Lüsner Alm (7,5 km), Kreuztal (5 km) and Petschied (3 km) in Hinterlüsen.
Snowshoe hikes on the Plose
Let yourself be enchanted by the fairytale winter landscape around Brixen and go on a snowshoe hike. In the vicinity of your ski hotel you will find a wide network of beautiful hiking trails and special snowshoe trails that lead to idyllic huts, where you can strengthen yourself with mulled wine and local specialties. A particularly nice tour leads from the mountain station Plose to the Rossalm (2,5 km), where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Peitlerkofel and the mighty Geislerspitzen.

Tobogganing in the Eisack valley
What would be a winter holiday in Brixen without a proper tobogganing run? With us in the Eisack valley you will find numerous toboggan runs for the ultimate tobogganing fun. You should not miss the 9 km long toboggan run RudiRun, which leads from the Kreuztal to St. Andrä. On Friday nights, the run will be even lit during the Friday Night Fever events! Enjoy your Friday evening with a romantic toboggan ride under the starry sky and return on your way to the cozy huts.
Info: If you do not have your own sled, you can easily rent a toboggan at the ski rental at the valley station.
Christmas magic in Brixen
Snow-covered roofs, candlelight and the smell of gingerbread and mulled wine – Christmas is not just for children the best time of the year. Let yourself be enchanted by the traditional South Tyrolean Christmas markets, because during the Advent season your winter holiday in Brixen will be a special experience!
Every year, numerous Christmas markets are held in the Eisack valley, such as the traditional Christmas market on the main square in Brixen. The Hofburg Brixen is transformed into an impressive light spectacle during the Christmas market and a visit to the Crib Museum in the prince bishop’s residence (Hofburg) is highly recommended.
Of course the famous Christmas markets in Sterzing, Bruneck, Bozen and Meran are also worth seeing, as every South Tyrolean Christmas market has its own flair.
