Our fairytale winter landscape at an altitude of 2,000 m will enchant you. Our local mountain, Mount Plose, offers 40 km of skiing fun with wonderful views and 7 modern ski lifts.
By the way: With a length of 9 km, the Trametsch Run is the longest downhill slope in South Tyrol.
Mount Plose not only features ski slopes, but it is also ideal for magical winter hikes, ski tours, cross-country skiing, tobogganing or simply a great snowball fight.

A wonderful alternative to skiing is cross-country skiing – here in the Isarco Valley you’ll find 25 well-groomed trails with a total length of 240 km. There are 4 trails close to our hotel, including the popular circular trails on Alpe di Luson (7.5 km), Val Croce (5 km) or Petschied (3 km).

You will be charmed by the fairytale winter landscape
around Bressanone, especially on a snowshoe hike. In the area surrounding your ski hotel you will find a wide network of beautiful hiking trails and special snowshoe trails that lead to idyllic alpine huts where you may enjoy mulled wine and local specialties. A particularly beautiful tour leads from the Plose mountain station to the Lodge Rossalm (2.5 km), where a fantastically beautiful view of the Das de Putia and the mighty Odle Peaks awaits you.

Info: You can conveniently rent snowshoes from Sportservice Stricker at the valley station of the Plose cable car.

Your children ask for an active holiday? Then come to the Hotel Clara: whether it’s a snowball fight in the garden or ice skating in Varna, with us your kids will make unforgettable holiday memories.
What would a winter holiday in Bressanone be without tobogganing fun? Many toboggan runs await you in the Isarco Valley, one of which is 9 km long and awaits you on our local mountain. The toboggan run ‘RudiRun‘, which takes you from Val Croce to S. Andrea, is open on Friday evenings – it is illuminated as part of the Friday Night Fever events!
Info: If you don’t have your own sled, you may borrow one from the ski rental at the valley station.

Snowy roofs, candlelight, and the scent of gingerbread and mulled wine
Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year not just for children. You’ll be fascinated by the traditional South Tyrol Christmas Markets and enjoy the festive season in the alleys of South Tyrol. Many Advent Markets also take place in the Isarco Valley every year. During the Christmas Market season, the Episcopal Palace in Bressanone transforms into an impressive light spectacle and creates an incredibly special Christmas ambience at the traditional Christmas Market in Bressanone. A visit to the Nativity Museum in the Episcopal Palace is also recommended.
Otherwise, take a trip to the medieval town of Klausen, where the event ‘Gassl Advent‘ takes place in December and spreads the magic of Christmas
Experience a convivial get-together and Christmas ambience at the Christmas Markets in Vipiteno, Brunico, and Bolzano, which can all be reached in just half an hour from our hotel.
